DÉRIVE · ANALOGUE FIELD SHEET · ED. 03
Feel Your Way
A paired attention drift through Haggerston Park
Pilot sheet, not a readiness certificate
The organiser must close the recce, permission, insurance, weather, print and real-device gates before this sheet is used in the field. Nobody walks with vision restricted.
01 · MEET
Base camp
Base camp is the sun shelter in the park's north-west corner, on Whiston Road beside the north-west gate. It has benches and a roof, and it is also the first fallback if it rains.
Return signal: Return to base camp at the agreed time. The walk can end early without becoming incomplete.
02 · CHOOSE
Consent stays live
- □ I choose whether to take part at all.
- □ My eyes may stay open, soften or close while stationary.
- □ Touch is a separate choice, asked before each part.
- □ Stop always means stop. No reason is needed.
- □ Photographing, mapping, sharing and publication are separate choices.
03 · ATTEND
The paired score
04 · NOTICE
Eyes-open drift prompts
- Find one place being quietly kept alive.
- Notice where the shared ground feels generous, and where it does not.
- Listen for a boundary before looking for one.
- Bring back one contradiction, absence or unanswered question.
05 · MARK
One field, no fixed route
Draw what happened to you, not where the paths told you to go.
06 · KEEP OR SHARE
Withholding is part of the map
This stationary attention exercise does not simulate blindness. Keeping your eyes open is fully participating. Keeping a photograph, sound, note or location private is also fully participating. The collective sheet holds only what each contributor actively chooses to place there.
